How you can help....
Volunteer with Shropshire Cat Rescue
We always need extra pairs of hands to help out with the various jobs we have. If you could spare a few hours a week helping either in the shops, at our shelters, or you feel you have skills which you believe may be useful, including driving then we would love to hear from you. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and a member of the Shropshire Cat Rescue Team will contact you shortly.

Other ways to help.....
Donate goods for resale in our two shops
The majority of our income comes from the sale of goods in our shops - so if you have any good quality items such as - bric-a-brac, kitchen ware, jewellery, clothes, soft furnishings, shoes, toys, books, DVDs, CDs, Computer games and jigsaws are all gratefully received but PLEASE NO electrical, VCR, Vinyl, cassettes as these do not sell.  Alternatively, please come along and browse the constantly changing range of quality items on sale at the shops. Or donate good condition items that we can sell.

From time to time cats come into our care that cannot be rehomed due to long-term illness or injury. In these circumstances it is felt that these cats are better kept in the care of their fosterers where we can ensure that they will receive every attention that they deserve. Shropshire Cat Rescue currently have five cats and a pair of cats (which counts as one sponsorship) needing special life-long care from ourselves.
If you would like to sponsor one of these special needs cats for a minimum of twelve months, please select the cat or group that you would like to sponsor and complete the form on the back of this leaflet. In return you will receive a Certificate and a history sheet. You will also receive an update on your sponsored cat’s developments near the end of your sponsorship when you will be asked if you would like to continue sponsorship.  For further details, you can download the Sponsorship Form here.
Sponsor our Moggies Retirement Village
Shropshire Cat Rescue ‘s policy is to give shelter and veterinary aid to stray and homeless cats when manpower and finances permit and find them new, safe and caring homes. However, we are often asked to take in elderly cats and for these cats it can be a long, long if not everlasting wait for a home.

Please help us to pay for the ongoing costs of the village and Veterinary fees incurred by sponsoring just £50 per annum so that our elderly cats can enjoy the time they have left.  If that’s not enough to tempt you—we will be happy to show you around the village by appointment.
For further details you can download the Moggies Retirement Village Leaflet here.
How are donations spent?
All money donated or raised through SCR fundraising activities (special events, collections and the SCR charity shops) is used to care for the cats. Unlike some animal charity organizations, SCR doesn’t have any paid employees
Quite simply, our work for SCR would not be possible without the generous volunteer help and fundraising efforts from the local community –YOU!
Donate food at one of our supermarket collection points
As you can imagine we get through enormous quantities of cat food so if you can donate a tin or two it would be hugely appreciated!  We have collection boxes at the Shrewsbury branches of Morrisons, Tesco & Sainsbury’s and at Pets At Home in Shrewsbury and Telford.
Include a Legacy in Your Will.......
What better way could there be to say 'thank you' to a lifetime of pleasure from SCRs care for cats in Shropshire than to include a legacy in your will. Please ask us for advice about the most effective way to do this.
For Further details you can download our Legacy Leaflet Here.
